FAQs
What size frame do I need, and how much text will fit?
The right frame depends on how much text you'd like to include and how much pressed flower coverage you want around it. Each size has a character limit to make sure the lettering sits cleanly within the design without feeling crowded:
- A4 – up to 150 characters (around a short quote or single verse)
- A3 – up to 250 characters (around a short poem or a few lines of lyrics)
- A2 – up to 400 characters (a longer poem, vows, or extended passage)
Character counts include spaces and punctuation. If you're close to a limit or unsure which size fits your text, send the wording through when you reach out and I can recommend the right frame.
The product image displayed is the A3 size.
How is the custom vinyl lettering made?
Each piece of lettering is cut using a Cricut and premium permanent vinyl. You provide the text you'd like included, and I'll cut it to your chosen font and size, then transfer it directly onto the acrylic backing of the frame. The pressed flower arrangement is then designed and built around the lettering, so the words and flowers feel like one piece rather than two layered together.
What fonts can I choose, and what colours of vinyl are available?
You can choose from a range of Google fonts to suit the feel of your piece. Each font has a minimum size to ensure the lettering can be cleanly cut, since very thin fonts can be tricky on a Cricut. If you have a specific font in mind that isn't suitable, I'll find the closest alternative that will cut beautifully and share it with you for approval.
Vinyl is available in black or white, both in a permanent finish that won't lift over time. As a general guide, black lettering works best against light or white walls so the text reads clearly through the frame, while white lettering suits darker walls or more dramatic settings. Both look beautiful – it really comes down to where you'll be displaying the piece.
When does the text need to be confirmed by?
Include a draft of your text when you place your order – this gives me a starting point for the design. Closer to the time of cutting, I'll send you an email to confirm the final text, your chosen font, and the layout (line breaks, spacing, alignment), so there's a chance to make any adjustments before the vinyl is cut and applied. Once the lettering is on the acrylic, it's permanent, so this confirmation step is your final chance to perfect the wording.
